Project management in the age of digitalisation and increased risk

This publication, created as part of the Logistics and Innovation Center activities, proves that diploma theses can gain a "second life", and that students and academics can write a book for other students.Monograph - is the result of the work of scientists (Professor Aleksandra Laskowska-Rutkowska, Professor Beata Jamka, PhD Michał Pienias) and two students of the University who adapted fragments of their MA theses written under the supervision of the Scientific Editor of this publication (Katarzyna Bartosiak, Mariusz Gorzycki).The issues included in the monograph concern changes and innovations taking place in the field of project management, which play an increasingly important role in the global economy. Their implementation employs nearly 90 million people in the world, and their share in the national income of individual economies is systematically growing.The monograph fits very well with modern requirements in the field of project management, stakeholder activities and the necessary competences in the digital economy. The issues addressed are important not only for project management entities and enterprises, but also for representatives of science dealing with these issues and students.

Digitization in management

"Digitization in management" edited by dr hab. Aleksandra Laskowska-Rutkowska, prof. UŁa, was created as a result of the conference "Digitization - the perspective of science and business" organized in 2019 at the Lazarski University by the #Center of Logistics and Innovation.

The publication comprehensively and transparently presents important issues in the area of ​​management and digitization in the context of the current dynamically occurring civilization and technological changes. The discussed issues focus on the key concept - Economy 4.0, its components and the possibilities of their application. The publication is an original and pioneering study on the Polish publishing market on management in the conditions of Economy 4.0. It is a source of knowledge for academic centers, managers and management staff at the local and central public administration level.

Concept of wave development of logistics

Aleksandra Laskowska-Rutkowska, The concept of wave development of logistics. Diffusion of innovation in the supply chain, PTE, Szczecin, 2013 (p. 303).

Book received the Leonardo 2014 award and was recognized as the best book on logistics innovation. The competition jury noticed the innovative approach of the author to the analysis of logistics development processes, including in particular the stimulation of innovative processes. The important role of this item in promoting a creative approach and analysis of logistics processes was emphasized.

The book is an interesting and original study on innovations in logistics, which can be applied in practice. There are two leading threads in it: concerning the way of logistics development and related to innovations and their diffusion and transfer in the supply chain.

It proposes, inter alia, an innovative methodology of measuring the effectiveness of diffusion of innovation in the supply chain of an application nature and an original model of diffusion of innovation in the supply chain.
